Java: green UML for Software Engineering and Reverse Engineering
By admin on Apr 18, 2008 in Java, open source
green UML is another useful Eclipse plugin that can be used for UML modeling and reverse engineering.
As quoted from the website, green is a LIVE round-tripping editor, meaning that it supports both software engineering and reverse engineering. You can use green to create a UML class diagram from code, or to generate code by drawing a class diagram.
green is an ongoing project at the University at Buffalo.
I was using commercial UML diagramming tool before this and now I am trying on free or open source UML diagramming tools. green looks like promising. Try it out yourself !

I bet you haven’t tried Trace Modeler yet!
http://www.tracemodeler.com
It only does sequence diagrams, but it does them really well.
It looks like you’ve tried a lot of UML tools before? Why not give it a try an let me know what you think. I’m always looking forward to feedback from people who know what’s out there, and I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised when you try Trace Modeler.
Here’s a 30 sec demo if you’re in a hurry :
